I painted this at the art group I attend. I love the therapeutic benefit of using a palette knife to cut through acrylic paint to gradually expose a beautiful painting. I named this one Shining because sometimes it feels like we are lost in the darkness but there is always hope. That hope, I believe, is Jesus. He rescues us from darkness and shines a light. 'In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.' (John 1:4-5 NIV)
